The organization develops and publishes technical standards for a range of industries, from aeronautics to healthcare. One of the earliest industries ASTM developed standards for was the construction sector. At Renewal by Andersen, we rigorously apply ASTM’s window testing standards and meet or exceed industry standards for all of our products.
ASTM’s Window Testing Protocol
ASTM has developed a number of window testing protocols to ensure that windows are up to industry standards. These include tests to determine the force needed to open and close different window styles, tests for water and air infiltration, and tests to determine the breakaway force. These and other tests are performed under controlled conditions in a laboratory following the same instructions used by our certified master installers.
